Linda Iris Newbery (Romford, 12 agosto 1952) è una scrittrice britannica.
Biografia
Nata nel 1952 a Romford, vive e lavora con il marito in un villaggio del Northamptonshire
Ha esordito nel 1988 con il romanzo per ragazzi Run with the Hare mentre lavorava come insegnante d'inglese.
Autrice prolifica, nel corso della sua carriera ha scritto numerosi romanzi per giovani e per adulti spesso ambientati nel passato (i due conflitti mondiali, l'età vittoriana..).
Dopo essere arrivata due volte in finale per la Carnegie Medal con Sisterland e The Shell House, nel 2006 ha vinto un Premio Costa con Set in Stone.
